Dr Who is rubbish

27 Apr

Matt Webb

I was watching the BBC breakfast news on Saturday morning (now that I am well into my late twenties this is the kind of thing that I do with my weekends.) Amongst all the genuine news events that were being reported was a 5 minute section on the new Doctor Who series that was just starting that evening. Continue reading

Living a Stereotype

I am going on holiday and I am exasperated. Not from passport losing/finding fatigue but because now all my holidays have become a source of fixation as ‘possible proposal opportunities’ (PPO).    I am exasperated too that the PPO is becoming increasingly less glamorous as the months pass.  Give it another couple of years and it will only take us a trip to our local Tesco express to get everyone feverishly squawking- “do you think he’s going to pop the question?!” Continue reading

I can’t embed this clip, but A&J say it perfectly.

Charlie wearily opened the door to her penthouse apartment, letting out an exhausted sigh. She called out, hoping for a reply. A mop of brown hair came into view. Locking eyes, then lips, she fell into the embrace of her partner, Jean Paul. Continue reading

Sorry for the dearth of updates lately, it’s been super sunny here so being typical Brits we’re not able to do anything when there’s a slither of sunlight. To kick us off again, and keeping with the unseasonable weather of the last few weeks, here is a song that I cannot stop listening to/singing/hearing in my head.

Joe Wright is not a fan of Sucker Punch… or The Spice Girls

Emma Fraser

At this weekend’s WonderCon in San Francisco Joe Wright (Pride and Prejudice, Atonement) was there to present his latest offering Hanna, a film about a young female assassin (Saoirse Ronan). Whilst discussing the project with Movieline ,Wright made his feelings more than clear when discussing ideas of female empowerment in the new Zack Snyder’s new film Sucker Punch: Continue reading
